2007 Fundraising Event
In Spring 2007, we held our first fund-raising event. Supported by Middle Temple, we held a theatrical evening re-enacting an adaptation of Dickens' Trial of Bardell v Pickwick. It boasted a star-studded cast which included Martin Shaw (now a Kalisher Trustee), Richard Griffiths, Patrick Malahide, Jenny Seagrove and Simon Russell Beale. The event itself raised a five-figure sum, and played to a packed house. This has enabled us to continue to support aspiring barristers.
2008 Fundraising Event
On Sunday the 13th April 2008, the Kalisher Scholarship's fundraising event will be an adaptation of two episodes from Misleading Cases, the famous BBC series broadcast in the 1960s. We anticipate another starry cast as we stage what is sure to be an evening of comedy. As in 2007, the event will be held in Middle Temple Hall.
