Martin is a specialist criminal defence practitioner. He was called in 1994 and is one of the founding members of Farringdon Chambers. He specialises as a leading junior in heavyweight and complex cases such as Homicide, Fraud, Money Laundering and Drugs cases.
He has been involved for many years in Crown Court Costs appeals to the Costs Judge and on appeal to the High Court. He has appeared in appeals on topics ranging from challenges to PPE assessments, trial starts, category, stayed indictments and Newton hearings.
He was formerly an independent Costs Adjudicator for the LAA determining VHHC appeals as single adjudicator and on committee appeals.
