invites you to a roundtable event to discuss recent thinking in the investigation, prosecution and trial of RASSO cases

at Snaresbrook Crown Court

on 30th April 2024

from 3.30 pm until 5.30 pm.

Followed by a short reception

 All advocates who regularly appear at Snaresbrook, local solicitors and the CPS are invited to attend and participate

 This event will be chaired by HHJ Levitt KC

 Speakers include:

• Commander Kevin Southworth, on behalf of the Metropolitan Police, will give his perspective on the broader issue of Public Protection in London and nationwide and other senior police officers will talk about the current MPS approach to investigation and disclosure
• Lisa Ramsaran and Kris Venkatasami, on behalf of the CPS, will share the prosecution perspective
• The Criminal Bar Association, the South Eastern Circuit and the London Criminal Courts’ Solicitors’ Association have been invited, to give the Bar and Solicitors’ contribution (from both prosecution and defence points of view).

We invite all our attendees to participate in what we hope will be a lively and informative event.
