The Criminal Bar Association is pleased to host a lecture by Dr Jonathan Fisher KC on Fraud Update. A leading authority in corporate and financial crime, proceeds of crime and tax, Jonathan combines extensive experience in practice with a distinguished academic career. In addition to practising from Red Lion Chambers in London, he is a Senior Fellow and visiting professor in practice at the London School of Economics, where he teaches financial crime on the LLM programme.

Jonathan also serves as Chair of the Independent Review of Disclosure and Fraud Offences. In December 2025 he delivered his second and final report to the Home Secretary, Fraud in the Digital Age, which examines the evolving nature of fraud offending and the challenges posed by modern digital methods. This lecture will provide a timely update on developments in fraud law and policy, offering insight into the current landscape of investigation and prosecution in an area of law that continues to grow in both complexity and importance.

Dr Jonathan Fisher KC is a barrister specialising in corporate and financial crime, proceeds of crime and tax. He practises from Red Lion Chambers in London. He is also a Senior Fellow and visiting professor in practice at the London School of Economics where he teaches financial crime on the LLM programme. Jonathan is Chair of the Independent Review of Disclosure and Fraud Offences and delivered his second and final report, Fraud in the Digital Age, to the Home Secretary in December 2025.
