Have you ever wondered what the magic words are, to persuade the Court of your way of thinking? Whilst we can’t guarantee magic, we can provide you with an insight from the judiciary and those in the know, as to how best to navigate the Magistrates’ and Crown Court, particularly during the early years of practice.

The speakers will provide practical tips for issues which commonly arise, including bad character, pleas in mitigation, disclosure and vulnerable defendants. There will also be the opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the speakers, on any aspect of practising in the Magistrates’ and Crown Court. 1 accredited hour of CPD is available for attending this lecture

The Lecture will take place in the Bar Mess at the Central Criminal Court, timed to start at 17.30 and to last for approximately an hour, including some time for questions at the end.

Light refreshments will be provided.

All those attending should leave the Old Bailey by 7pm.
