UKTI joint business development mission to South Korea

The deadline for applications to join the Bar Council – UKTI joint business development mission to South Korea and China with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has been extended to Wednesday 10 July 2013. The mission will take place from 11 to 19 September 2013. Please note that you are not required to participate in both parts of the visit and it is possible to join the delegation to one country only.

The aim of the mission is to raise the profile of the Bar within the South Korean and Chinese legal markets and to promote the services barristers can offer Korean and Chinese clients.

The programme will include:

  • Market Briefings with UKTI
  • Substantive law seminars
  • Drinks receptions
  • Meeting at Seoul International Dispute Resolution Centre/seminar with Young Korean arbitration lawyers
  • Visit to CIETAC and/or Shanghai Arbitration Centre , and
  • Opportunities for individual business meetings.

This is an excellent opportunity for members of the Bar interested in expanding their international practice in China and/or Korea. The visit is financially supported by UKTI London and all applicants are required to send a copy of their application form with an original signature to Elizabeth Fehnrich at UKTI London Region International Trade Team, 10-12 Queen Elizabeth Street, SE1 2JN by close of business on Wednesday, 10 July 2013.
