Financial Advice

We know that many CBA members of all levels of Call and from all backgrounds are suffering financial hardship in these difficult times.

The Bar Council found that the median level of debt for pupil barristers starting out in the profession is between £40,000 and £50,000.  Many members find that debts continue to increase and are having difficulty coping.  As a profession, we are not always the best at either managing our finances or asking for help.

We have brought together some links to publicly available assistance as part of our on-going support. In the meantime our Hardship Fund remains open and accepting applications at [email protected].

Please, if you do need help, reach out to us.

You are not alone.
